Small family’s Oak Island Beach Frolic Session

I used to be Haley’s gymnastics coach back in my college days when I lived in Ohio.  I have had the great honor since then to be part of a whole lot of her family’s special moments.

So, I was thrilled when she contacted me this past summer to let me know she’d be coming to Oak Island for vacay and wanted to get her “wild crew” in front of my camera.

I find that lots of mamas are worried about how their munchkins will behave during a photo session and I reassure all of them that there is zero “behaving” necessary during a session with me. 

The best thing parents can do during a session is to let their children feel free and playful and just meet them where they are.

I am pretty well practiced in guiding parents into interactions with their youngsters that photograph as magical while both parents and children are having an experience that they will look back on as a fond memory and that’s exactly what we accomplished in this session.

And, we even got some images of just dad and mom by themselves too!
