The one where the groom had a special portrait request

This southern wedding had all the romantic, dreamy elements that make us girls swoon:

Oak trees dripping in Spanish Moss,

the roofless ruins of what used to be a church at Brunswick Town/Fort Anderson,

custom wedding gown from our local, bridal boutique, Sinderellas Rockefellas

jaw dropping bridal bouquet from Brunswick Town Florist

and

all of it coordinated by the lovely Jody Britton with Weddings by the Sea.

But, what this wedding also had was something the history loving groom was excited about:

CANNONS!!!

His one and only request from the day was for portraits of him and his bride with one of the Fort’s historic cannons.

So, between the little rain showers that were gracing the day, we made his dream a reality!

And then back to Oak Island for their reception at 801 Ocean.
